Keep you company, and gives kisses, and keep your valuables. But what do you need to care how little worthy to be loved and make sure you are happy and healthy?

Basic Needs – All puppies need a water bowl, a plate of food and a place to sleep. Some pet owners are automatic feeders and water dispensers for comfort. For sleeping, there are various sized dog beds and crates. Box lot of people train their dogs to sleep and while the owner is away.

Play Time – Pets need exercise. You should walk your dog once a day if possible. You will need a collar, a leash, and some disposable plastic bags to take with you to clean any unsightly mess. A good leash to use is the retractable type. Also included in game time are toys, toys and more toys. A good game of fetch is a great way to exercise.

Health – All new puppies should be taken to a good vet. They need vaccinations and heartworm medications.

Training – A good way to train your dog is getting a good book on the subject. Also needed are little luxuries that you can keep in your pocket during training. Dogs live in delight!

A puppy can be fun and give you tons of love over time. So make sure you have at hand all the things you need for your puppy to be happy healthy and safe environment.

It can be confusing – I remember asking many questions when I started. How do you know how much to feed? What do you eat? Can you mix the BARF diet with processed foods? How long does it take to prepare raw foods? What does it cost to buy all the BARF products necessary? If you feed raw meat and vegetables? Well, the last question, only you can decide what is right for your dog, but I’ll answer the rest of your questions as best you can.

How do you know how much to feed?

In fact, depends on the weight of your dog. Most people recommend 2.5% of their body weight. Just make sure you know the weight of your dog before you start, and then watch their weight and adjust depending on whether you win / lose / maintain.

What do you eat?

Raw meaty bones like chicken necks and backs, for example. Beef bones are not. Organ meats, the lungs, liver, kidneys, etc. Some people also include raw vegetables.

Can you mix the BARF diet with processed foods?

It is recommended that processed food, or kibble, is digested in 10-12 hours, and raw foods at around 4-6. This can lead to serious health problems. That said, some people do it quite successfully – but I would not.

How long does it take to prepare raw foods?

If you buy ready-made for your dog BARF, just take the time to defrost and put on your plate. If you prefer the DIY (do it yourself) method, that depends on what you’re serving and how many dogs. Most people recommend pre-packing, once a week in the required portion size for your dog. You could probably safely count one and a half per dog, less if you can get your butcher to cut some for you.

What does it cost to buy all the BARF products necessary?

This also depends on whether you go with the DIY or buying packaged foods. DIY usually requires bargain hunting and can be time consuming. What I prefer to do (with only 2 dogs) is to buy my pre-packaged BARF from a reputable company and serve. It may be more expensive, but with our busy lives, I do not mind paying a little more money.

Anxiety in dogs can be caused by any number of things – illness, travel, thunderstorms, death in the family, separation, or they may develop unexplained phobias or neurotic behavior, barking or other antisocial behavior.

If you can identify the cause of anxiety, then the best solution for the problem is to remove the cause.

This is not always possible, however. If your dog is experiencing separation anxiety every time you leave the house and working full time outside the home, you have a problem! I guess you could stop working and stay home with your dog, but sometimes we have to be a little realistic!

For this particular problem, a number of things you can do to alleviate the anxiety of your dog when you leave – many people have found that soothing music playing while out works great.

Mozart? – That certainly used to calm my hyperactive child down a little, so Mozart would be my personal first choice, but there are many children in soothing classical and new age, or even some light rock or jazz music might work – try everything what you have in your CD collection to start.

Another wonderful idea I read about what makes a recording of his own voice and play in a continuous play while you’re gone.

And there are certain herbal and homeopathic remedies that really soothe your dog. So that could help with separation anxiety in your dog.

But what about dogs that are afraid of loud noises – my dog Kara has an irrational fear of thunderstorms, and fear of fireworks, and, well, in fact, afraid of almost any loud noises. Many dogs are like that.

A New Year, when I was away, Kara dug their way under the house and escaped (being terrified of the fireworks that were going). My neighbors had to pick it up from the pound the next morning. Apparently, the kennel is in effect New Year’s Eve, bringing together many dogs and impound them! A nice little revenue booster for the local authorities. Memory costs about $ 100 to retrieve it.

Anyway, I’ve found that peppermint oil applied on the pads of their feet have a calming effect. And a natural stress remedy also works very well.

A few years before he became interested in natural remedies for dogs – in fact the incident was a result of fireworks – Kara became very determined to continue escaping, for some reason. Once he realized he could leave, she kept trying. It was even the destruction of part of my house in his determination to try to get through the thick wooden boards that had to prevent further escapes. So I took her to the vet as it was at a complete loss for what to do with it. She was prescribed an anti-anxiety medication. This made Kara very silly, and seemed to have something of his personality was in some way. In other words, I guess it seemed drugged. I do not like.

Now I know there is much more pleasant, all natural anxiety treatments for dogs, with no unpleasant side effects. And the truth is to do the job just as well.

If you feel you are suffering from a stuffy or runny nose, itchy nose, sneezing, itchy watery eyes, cough, sore throat, rash or hives, headaches, fatigue, difficulty breathing, or symptoms asthma when you are around dogs, then you probably have allergies.

You can still enjoy the appreciation for the canines, but will have to learn some basic techniques for protecting their health while enjoying the company of your pet.

First, the dog allergens can adhere to clothing, curtains, walls, furniture and even remain airborne for some time. You can ease your allergies by observing some basic rules of cleanliness.

Keep the dog out of sleeping areas or spend long periods of time. Wash your hands after playing, petting or grooming. You may have to take an allergy medicine over the counter before playtime, petting or extensive preparation. A shower and change of clothes can help.

Never allow the dog to jump, sleep or play on furniture in which to sit, sleep or use widely. Dandruff will share in these areas and cause a severe allergic reaction. Keep sweep or vacuum floors, and carpet shampoo or steam of water every second or third month. Keep the dog bed, toys and feeding area washed and clean too.

Second. A good HEPA air filter may help keep airborne dander under control, but will have to maintain a rigorous schedule of training is to be avoided at the source of dandruff. If the dog grooming itself is a problem, you may need to hire a friend or relative to this work.

Bathing should be once or twice a week, but make sure the shampoo does not dry the dog’s skin or create worst dandruff. Using a soft brush body can be daily, if gentle. It will eliminate dandruff and loose in the hair.

A full body scrub down should be scheduled once or twice a week, this will loosen the flakes deeper into the layer. When I say ‘scrub’ I am suggesting a firm body brush that will be able to massage the skin but not hurt the dog. If you brush too close to your dog will quickly learn to dislike grooming, and will become an impossible task both!

Third. No dog should be considered completely non-allergenic because, regardless of the strict preparation and prevention techniques, all dogs produce dander, saliva and urine that cause allergies. There are some races, however, that produce less dander than others, and victims should seriously consider choosing one of these races.

Airedales, Poodles and Schnauzers make the best choices for allergy sufferers. All three of these breeds shed less dander then other breeds. They also shed very little hair, and have very little dog odor if care is regularly maintained and serviced.

Airedales

Airedales are a medium large breed originated in England, where they were bred to be a great brave, and intelligent hunting dog. Today it is valued as a partner for its beauty, shape and type. They are known as the “King of Terriers” by dog lovers. They have a cheerful temperament and love to play games. They are good students, good with children and adapt easily to any home, patio or garden.

On the downside, the Airedale coat should be trimmed by a professional as they require your hair to be “plucked” or it can cause problems for healthy skin, irritation, itching, and, of course, more dandruff.

Poodles

One of the best features of this breed is the choice of size. The standard size poodles and giants are a good choice for a family or an individual with a big house or yard. They make excellent guard dogs or pets, and are so smart they can be easily tamed and even taught to do tricks. The miniature and toy poodles are less than 15 inches tall at the shoulder, and are so intelligent and loving as their larger counterparts.

Poodles are an excellent choice for allergen sensitive owners. They do not lose, and the coat can be clipped quite close to her abuser, so the soft brushing less of a chore. In fact, some owners even learn how to trim poodles their own dogs. The bathroom is very simple for a poodle with a short coat, just avoid the mane of a lion and you have a perfect companion.

Schnauzers

This breed also comes in a variety of sizes from miniature to giant, and the best part is that almost no dog smell! Like the Poodle, the Schnauzer has to be cut because they do not lose hair as most dogs. But unlike the Poodle, the majority of the Schnauzers are allowed to keep his beard and fuzzy socks. If necessary, however, can change their furry outfit that best suits your needs.

Schnauzers are very brave, intelligent and aristocratic. He is excellent in a family environment, and even gave the name “friendly watchdog” for their loving care of children. They are so talented and versatile they are equally suited for hunting, tracking, retrieval, security, protection, military work, agility, competitive obedience and tricks, including learning.

So if you are driving past the dog park and thinking how much I love having a dog in your life, now might be a good time to act on their desires.

You do not have to give up his love for dogs, just the right balance to fit a dog into your life. These beautiful creatures and love truly deserve a warm place in our hearts, and the title of man’s best friend.
